It could be that I have no experience with Red Velvet cake but with this recipe the cake was much to heavy. The Icing was bland and honestly tasted like flour. Overall the cake was nothing special. However I am willing to try it again just to make sure it was not my own fault.

  6. In a bowl take vinegar and soda. Mix it. And add to the batter.
  7. Now pour the mixture into the tin and bake it at 180℃ for 15to 20 min, or till cake cooked properly.
  8. Remove and cool it.
  9. Microwave the chocolate, till it melts. Remove it.fill it into a piping bag. Take butter paper, and make the desired design. Apply it on the cake. Cake is ready.

Overall the cake was nothing special. However I am willing to try it again just to make sure it was not my own fault. The "red" makes sense, but what about the "velvet" in this cake's iconic name?
